A warm and welcoming bed and breakfast on the shore of a sea loch with wonderful sea views.
If you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring the magical Isle of Skye, somewhere far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then Lochshore House is the B&B for you.
Lochshore House is in a wonderful location on Loch Greshornish with stunning views out across the sea to the Western Isles. It stands in a working croft and has its own shoreline, a mixture of rocky beach and headland. Here you can see otters, seals and a variety of sea birds and birds of prey.
We offer accommodation in two luxurious en suite bedrooms, one double and one double/twin, both at the front of the house with stunning sea and sunset views. Each room is tastefully furnished with contemporary oak furniture, flat screen TVs, DVD players, Ipod docks and luxurious white bedding. The guest rooms share a private upstairs sitting room where there is a selection of books, games and maps. There is also a telescope for those starry nights as the night skies here are incredible. Skye has some of the darkest possible night skies in the whole of Europe and the Northern Lights can be seen from the house at certain times of the year. Free WiFi is available throughout the house.
Food is an important part of your stay here, we offer a large breakfast menu, including vegetarian options and breakfast is served at individual tables in our light and airy dining room which overlooks the loch.
We are a walker and cyclist friendly bed and breakfast and we provide drying facilities and secure cycle storage. If you prefer to arrive by car or motorbike, there is ample off-road parking, and under cover storage for motorbikes.
You are welcome to walk on the croft, fish from the shore or launch your own kayak.
Lochshore House bed and breakfast is ideally situated. Portree with its many eating places is 15 minutes away in one direction and 10 minutes in the other direction will bring you to Waternish where you will find the Stein Inn and Lochbay Seafood Restaurant. The famous Three Chimneys restaurant is only a few miles further on and there are also two pubs within 2 miles of the house including the Edinbane Inn.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lochshore House B&B on the beautiful Isle Of Skye.
